Question Number 1: I would like to raise a freedom of information request for SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½ regarding the value created from Parking Charges on site, and how / where this value is invested. Please note, I have included information which was provided under both FOI_7836 & FOI_8004. Please could a representative of the Trust advise on the below requests: 1. Under FOI_8004, the Trust advised that the money obtained from Staff and Visitor parking charges in 2023/24 was £1,388,790 (Staff: £604,022 & Visitors: £784,768). Please advise what the current value in 2024/25 (year to date) which has been collected in parking charges a. If possible, please provide separate figures for Staff and Patients / Visitors | |
Answer To Question 1: Car parking income to Month 8 (November) was £1.42m, split staff £495k and patients £926k. | |
Question Number 2: Under FOI_7836, the Trust advised that its annual spend for parking maintenance (provided by APCOA) was £22,546 per annum. a. Please advise what the revenue spend is currently for parking maintenance in 2024/25. b. Where possible, please advise if any ad-hoc spend has been required in 2024/25 for parking maintenance, outside of the annual cost referenced above. | |
Answer To Question 2: Maintenance spend in 24-25 is forecast to be £11,974. None of this is ad-hoc. | |
Question Number 3: Please advise where the additional funding produced from the car park charges, outside of the spend on parking maintenance (based on 2023/24 figures, this equates to c. £1,366,244) is spent within SA¹ú¼Ê´«Ã½? a. If possible, please advise whether the decision to direct this funding is made on an annual basis, and if so who is the primary decision-maker on where this money is spent. | |
Answer To Question 3: It is not possible to answer this question as car park income is not allocated to specific areas of the hospital. | |
